Focus on Education

Of course, we focus on winemaking.  But there is more. 

Our commitment is to give you as much hands on experience and education in winemaking as is possible with a single barrel. We plan to supplement this with small group sessions where we can discuss winemaking philosophy and prepare for what we will be doing together in the winery. Topics for these sessions will change based on what is happening at that time in the winery and to help you learn more about the process.

Many ‘custom crush’ wineries focus on vineyards.  At Vint Hill Craft Winery, we take a different (and we think better) approach.  At our winery, it is all about winemaking.  Our process starts with and is dedicated to winemaking and our commitment is to deliver to you the highest quality fruit from the region of the country you choose. 

In the winemaking world, fruit quality varies from vineyard to vineyard and year to year.  If you select California cabernet sauvignon or Washington State Syrah, we will obtain the best quality fruit we can, picked for us and delivered in whole clusters.  If you select Virginia chardonnay, we’ll get the best fruit possible.  We work with the vineyards for you so that as fruit ripens, it is harvested and delivered to the winery to start your winemaking journey.
