🍀🍇🍷St. Patrick’s Day falls during Lent, BUT March 17th was traditionally a day of pause, when Irish Christians lifted restrictions to feast and enjoy a drink in honor of their patron saint.
While beer and whiskey may steal the spotlight today, early Irish traditions included mead, which is often considered the original “Irish wine.”
These days, the celebration continues to evolve, with crisp whites and fruit wines joining the party. So this year, raise a glass to history with a pour of wine, because tradition has always had a little room to grow.
